QREC Executive Insights Survey

An industry survey commissioned by the Queensland Renewable Energy Council (QREC) has found community acceptance is both the biggest risk and most significant opportunity for the State’s clean energy transition.

September 2024

The Queensland Renewable Energy Council (QREC) has conducted its inaugural
Executive Insights Survey to gauge industry perspectives on the challenges and
opportunities associated with the State’s clean energy transition. Released on
the eve of the second anniversary of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan
(QEJP), this foundational survey offers valuable insights from Queensland’s peak
representative body for the renewable energy sector.
The survey focused on industry sentiment toward the clean energy transition,
including key risks, as well as the specific theme of the effectiveness of the
Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) framework. QREC will continue to monitor industry
sentiment and explore additional topics in future Executive Insights Surveys.
The results will also guide QREC in its ongoing efforts to support the sector.
